Israel is the hot spot of the startup scene. Nowhere else in the world are more new companies emerging, the conditions for start-ups so innovative, nowhere else has been a comparable boom in the high-tech sector since the 1990s. This puts Israel ahead of the US and Europe. Tel Aviv and the Silicon Wadi are recognized worldwide as an important and dynamic ecosystem for start-ups.
We want to talk to our guests about what makes Israel so attractive for start-ups, especially in research and the high-tech sector. What lessons can we learn in Germany and Europe in order to sustainably inspire people, to become self-employed and to put their potential into their own ideas and to improve the overall environment for investments?
Our guests:
- Frank Müller-Rosentritt, member of the Bundestag from Chemnitz and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee
- Jeremy Issacharoff, Ambassador of the State of Israel in Berlin
- Ester Elias, envoy for economy and trade at the embassy of the State of Israel in Berlin
- Helge Eikelmann, representative of the Israeli Honorary Consulate in Frankfurt am Main
- Natalie Gips, Elnet Germany e.V.
